Our Logo
The Society has endeavoured to reflect our objectives in the logo. The logo is in the shape of a drum carried by the many bands throughout east Belfast, included in the skin of the drum are: -
- The giant cranes from the Harland and Wolff shipyard – known as Sampson and Goliath, indicating that as a group we are from east Belfast.
- Our national flag – the Union flag better known as the Union Jack.
- Orange Lillie’s – a beautiful flower that blooms in July and is carried by many during the annual Battle of the Boyne celebrations on the 12th July.
- A ship to reflect the many ships that has been built by our forefathers over the decades including the Titanic, which sunk with the loss of so many lives.
